Mild tricuspid regurgitation is technically a heart valve disease, but the disease is so mild that it basically requires no special treatment. The tricuspid valve is a valve structure between the right atrium and the right ventricle of the heart. Mild tricuspid regurgitation means that a small amount of blood will flow back into the right atrium when the heart contracts to pump blood. Mild tricuspid regurgitation is detected in many people by cardiac ultrasound and is not actually serious. When mild tricuspid regurgitation is asymptomatic, it can be observed and does not require special treatment for the time being. In general, more than moderate regurgitation needs to take into account the patient’s age, symptoms and etiology, and consider surgical treatment if necessary. People with mild tricuspid regurgitation should avoid strenuous activities in their daily life, get enough sleep, avoid excessive fatigue, avoid excessive stress, develop good living habits, and undergo regular checkups.
