Mediastinal tumors are more varied due to the multiple origins of cell tissues, and the common ones are thymoma, thymic cyst, neurogenic tumor, bronchial cyst, pericardial cyst, etc. The traditional surgery needs to be done under the median chest incision or posterior lateral chest incision, which results in excessive surgical trauma, slow recovery of the patient after surgery, and affects the aesthetics, and other numerous shortcomings. In recent years, with the continuous development of minimally invasive surgery and the increasing maturity of thoracoscopic technology, thoracoscopic resection of mediastinal tumor has gradually become the first choice for some cases. Since the development of this technology, our department has successfully relieved dozens of patients from pain, and all the patients have achieved good results, with shorter postoperative recovery time, among which 5 cases were completed under thoracoscopic-assisted small incision, and the diameter of the resected tumors was more than 8cm at most, which is the largest mediastinal tumor resected under thoracoscopic resection in our city at present, and has also been reported by the related media. Among them, the completed thymoma thoracoscopic total thymectomy is only carried out by a few hospitals in the province.
