Small penis due to hypospadias is recommended to be treated with local hormone injections such as testosterone, dihydrotestosterone and chorionic gonadotropin before surgery. To prevent complications after surgery, it is recommended that hormone therapy be followed by surgery 3 months later. For hypospadias, the main goal of surgery is to completely correct the downward curvature of the penis, open the urethra at the tip of the glans, be able to urinate standing up, have a normal sexual life in adulthood, and try to achieve a satisfactory penis appearance that is close to that of a normal male penis. Surgery before school age is generally recommended, and the best time for surgery is 6-18 months. Early surgery gives the best surgical results.
