There are three main factors that determine patients’ compliance with treatment: unaffordable economy; insufficient knowledge of the disease; and insufficient trust in doctors. A few days ago a patient with diabetic nephropathy chronic kidney disease stage 5, who had already done a good job of internal fistula and de-dialysis, but the patient had to go back on dialysis again after a month when all the indicators deteriorated at the follow-up. Follow up with the patient and his family to know that the patient went back to the medication for only one week and then stopped using it and used health supplements instead! For such patients in the future, the need to adhere to the medication and the dangers of not using it should be repeatedly explained to them.
