What is soft skin fibroma

Soft fibroma of the skin, also known as fibroepithelial polyp, dermatome, soft wart, is a relatively common benign tumor with a tip, common in middle-aged or elderly people, especially in postmenopausal women, also seen in pregnancy. Location: It can occur on the face and neck, chest and back, and even in the armpits, mostly on the lower part of the trunk and groin. They are usually soft and inelastic and can be verrucous, filiform or polypoid. Most soft fibroids have a tip. Treatment: Mild fibromas can generally be treated without special treatment, and if they are treated, local treatment is the mainstay. Smaller ones are treated with electrocoagulation, laser, liquid nitrogen freezing, trichloroacetic acid, etc. Larger ones are treated with surgical excision.
