Be alert to misdiagnosis and mistreatment of prostate cancer

Prostate cancer is one of the common malignant tumors in men. At present, prostate cancer has become the first malignant tumor that endangers men’s health in the United States. In recent years, with the aging of our population and the improvement of medical care, the incidence of prostate cancer in China is on the rise. Prostate cancer is insidious and its clinical manifestations are easily confused with prostatitis, prostate enlargement and other prostate diseases, or co-exist with these diseases. As a result, misdiagnosis and mistreatment of prostate cancer occur from time to time. Mr. Liu is just a typical example. Since there is no special clinical manifestation of prostate cancer, most of the prostate cancers found in the clinic are at advanced stage and cannot undergo radical surgery, but only conservative treatment such as radiotherapy or endocrine therapy. The patient’s physical and mental health and life expectancy are seriously affected. Therefore, early diagnosis of prostate cancer is especially important. The diagnosis of prostate cancer can not be confirmed by a simple CT or MRI, but by a comprehensive examination. First of all, the patient should pay attention to it from the ideological point of view. Generally, elderly men who have symptoms such as frequent urination should go to the hospital first and have relevant examinations to determine whether it is prostate hyperplasia, inflammation or cancer, and those who have a family history of prostate cancer should have regular examinations from the age of 45, so that the problem can be diagnosed by puncture and treated in time.
