If the lesion of liver cancer in advanced stage involves liver peritoneum, it will cause pain, which is mostly persistent distension, persistent dull pain or even sharp pain, generally the pain is heavier at night and affects sleep, which needs pain relief and symptomatic treatment. If liver cancer metastasizes to bone, it will cause corresponding bone pain; if liver cancer metastasizes to lung, it will cause cough and shortness of breath; if it metastasizes to retroperitoneal lymph nodes, it will cause back pain; if it metastasizes to femur, it will cause leg pain. If liver function is obviously damaged in late stage of liver cancer patients, it will cause anorexia, weakness, yellow sclera of skin, and even poor mental status. If liver function fails, it will cause liver coma; if liver lesion causes secondary portal hypertension, it will cause vomiting blood and blood in stool; if liver function failure causes insufficient synthesis of coagulation factors, it will cause spontaneous bleeding. Therefore, there are many clinical symptoms and different manifestations of advanced liver cancer, and patients with advanced liver cancer are advised to treat actively to minimize pain and prolong life.
