How long does it take to kill scabies with sulfur ointment

How long does it take to kill scabies with sulfur ointment depends on the severity of scabies, personal constitution and the concentration of sulfur ointment and the method of use, and it is impossible to make a generalization. Scabies is a contact infectious skin disease caused by the scabies mite, mainly invading the more delicate parts of the skin, such as finger crevices, wrists, forearms, elbow sockets, armpits, areola, umbilicus, lower abdomen and genitals, buttocks and other parts, often accompanied by intense itching at night. After infection with scabies, it is recommended to promptly visit the dermatology department of a regular hospital and use sulfur ointment and other medications under the guidance of a doctor. Usually topical sulfur ointment of 10% (5% for infants and children) is applied after bathing with hot water and soap first, and the medicine is applied all over the body from the neck down, 1-2 times a day for 3-4 consecutive days as a course of treatment. If the symptoms are mild, the treatment is timely and the medication is standardized, the patient can gradually improve after the medication and can be cured in a week or so. For those who are not cured, the medication should be repeated after an interval of 1-2 weeks. During the medication period, try not to take a bath or change clothes in order to maintain the effect of the medicine, and after 3 days, change all the clothes, sheets and covers, and then expose them to the sun or wash them in boiling water.
