In general, c3 vertebral body fat deposits and hemangiomas are more serious conditions. Vertebral fat deposition is a common term used in MRI examination, which refers to abnormal fat metabolism in the body or excessive deposition of adipose tissue in the vertebral body due to long-term consumption of high-fat or high-sugar foods, such as fried chicken, milk tea, etc., long-term lack of physical exercise, long-term use of hormone drugs and other factors. Vertebral hemangioma is a kind of common benign tumor of vertebral body, which can occur at any age, and is mostly seen in the lower thoracic vertebrae and upper lumbar vertebrae. Pathologic manifestations include a large number of proliferating capillaries and dilated blood sinuses. C3, i.e. the third cervical vertebrae, is relatively high in position. Fatty deposits or hemangiomas compressing the nerve roots or spinal cord may cause neck and shoulder pain, which may radiate to the upper limbs and head, manifesting as dizziness, nausea, numbness of the upper limbs and other symptoms. If the compression of the cervical cord causes edema, in severe cases, it can compress the respiratory center and cardiovascular center of the medulla oblongata, resulting in serious consequences or even life-threatening. Once c3 vertebral fat deposits and hemangiomas are found, it is recommended to consult a doctor immediately for a clear diagnosis and targeted treatment.
