Hemangioma is a vascular lesion that is present at birth, bright red, and protrudes or does not protrude from the mucosal surface of the skin. The pathology is a proliferation of capillary endothelial cells. There are generally two rapid growth periods – about 3 months and 10 months after birth – followed by slow contracture and discoloration. These are distinguished from vascular malformations. Vascular malformations are usually found about 1 month after birth. This is followed by slow growth. No endothelial cells grow and multiply. The principle of treatment for hemangioma is generally recommended to be observed if it is not a concern and dysfunction. If there is too much concern and growth in important organs and dysfunction, it can be treated with prednisone. Or surgery, etc.
