What is the difference between a cystic thyroid nodule and a cystic nodule?

If the nodules are cystic or solid, the possibility of malignancy is not excluded, especially if they are solid, if they have poor morphology or are out of proportion longitudinally or horizontally, they should be surgically removed early, or pathology should be done to further determine the diagnosis. However, if a thyroid nodule is purely cystic, it is generally benign in scope. From the point of view of thyroid grading, this kind of nodule is generally a secondary possibility and can be clinically observed. The main differentiating point between specific cystic and cystic thyroid nodules is the presence of sand-like calcifications in the solid part, the irregularity of the morphology, and whether the longitudinal and transverse ratios are out of proportion, or the condition of blood flow.
