A large epigastrium may be caused by simple obesity and fat accumulation; it may also be caused by liver cysts, gastric pyloric stenosis, pancreatic malignancy and other diseases.
1. Simple obesity: usually eat a large amount of food, long time sedentary, lack of exercise and other reasons, so that the abdominal fat accumulation in the upper abdomen, resulting in a relatively obvious epigastric. Usually pay attention to diet control, participate in sports, exercise core strength, the upper abdomen can be reduced accordingly.
2. Disease causes: liver cysts may lead to liver enlargement, causing right epigastric enlargement, dull pain, abdominal distension, etc.; gastric pyloric stenosis or obstruction may lead to food retention in the stomach, causing abdominal distension and abdominal enlargement; pancreatic tumor malignant lesions will make the head of pancreas, pancreatic body and tail of pancreas increase in size, and if it is metastasized to other abdominal organs, the growth of tumor cells will lead to abdominal distension and abdominal pain.
If there is no nausea, vomiting, distension and pain in the epigastric region, it can be observed for a period of time. If accompanied by the above symptoms, it is recommended that the patient should go to regular hospitals for complete abdominal ultrasound, CT and other examinations, and early treatment of the primary disease.
