Acne – the “body” and “mind” damage

Acne is a common dermatological condition that occurs in adolescent men and women. It is a chronic inflammatory disease involving hair follicles and sebaceous glands, mainly on the face, chest and back. Clinical manifestations include skin damage such as acne, papules, pustules, nodules, cysts and scarring. There are many factors that contribute to the pathogenesis of acne, including endocrine factors, abnormal keratinization of follicular sebaceous ducts, infection by microorganisms, immunological factors, and various other factors.

Whether it is whiteheads, blackheads, papules, pustules, nodules, or cysts, acne can be an eyesore. Because of the high incidence of acne, it is known as the “number one beauty killer”. Some adolescents who suffer from acne are ashamed to see others, and their personalities become withdrawn and have low self-esteem, which seriously affects their normal studies and lives.
