Minimally invasive kidney preservation with good results

Master Li, who lives in Jingzhou, recently had a worrying incident. It turns out that he found a small tumor of 2cm in his left kidney during his physical examination. I heard people say that this tumor is not a joke, you have to do surgery to cut out the kidney in order to have hope to cure. The thought of cutting the kidney made Master Li worried, but dragging it is not a solution! After being introduced, he came to Hubei Provincial Hospital of Integrative Medicine (Hubei Xinhua Hospital) and found the director of the urology department of the hospital, Han Ming, who, after carefully reading Master Li’s CT film, proposed a minimally invasive surgical method of kidney preservation by removing only the tumor – laparoscopic partial nephrectomy. During the operation, the physician removed the kidney tumor from the kidney completely, preserving the remaining normal left kidney. Since it was a minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery, Master Li recovered and was discharged from the hospital one week after the surgery. Director Han Ming introduced that with the development of current surgical techniques and surgical instruments, for some small kidney cancers detected in early stage, it is no longer necessary to perform radical nephrectomy routinely. Through three small holes of about 1cm in the waist, minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery has been able to complete many kidney tumor resection operations with kidney preservation. Preserving the kidney has significantly improved the quality of life of patients after surgery and has brought them a boon.
