Can all leukemia patients be treated with CAR-T?

Not all patients with leukemia can receive CAR-T cell therapy.

  • For T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), scientists have not yet found an appropriate target for CAR-T therapy, so these patients cannot be treated with CAR-T at this time.
  • For acute myeloid leukemia (AML), current clinical outcomes of CAR-T cell therapy are generally poor or have very short remission times, and CAR-T cell therapy is also not recommended.
