Primary liver cancer mainly has symptoms such as pain in liver area, gastrointestinal and systemic symptoms, accompanying cancer syndrome, and signs such as right upper abdominal mass.
1. Pain in liver area: pain in liver area will appear when the cancerous lesion pulls the liver periphery, and severe abdominal pain can be caused by rupture and bleeding of cancerous nodules.
2. Gastrointestinal symptoms: tumor compression and liver function damage will lead to gastrointestinal symptoms such as loss of appetite, nausea and vomiting, abdominal distension and so on.
3. Systemic symptoms: emaciation, fatigue, low fever, malnutrition and other symptoms.
4. Accompanying cancer syndrome: mainly manifested as hypoglycemia, hypercalcemia, hypercholesterolemia, erythrocytosis and so on.
5. Signs: large tumors may have hepatomegaly and right upper abdominal mass; decreased liver function, compression and invasion of biliary system may lead to jaundice; combined with cirrhosis, there may be splenomegaly and ascites.
Primary liver cancer lacks specific clinical manifestations in early stage, and when symptoms or signs appear, it has often progressed to middle or late stage. It is recommended that patients with suspected liver cancer should consult the doctor for examination in time and follow the doctor’s prescription for treatment.
