The correct post-operative care of osteosarcoma has great benefits for recovery, as follows: First, the patient needs to change position every 1-2 hours when lying in bed, so that the patient is in a comfortable position, keep in the functional position of the limbs, and can be assisted by the appropriate use of air rings, air cushions, etc. The skin of the whole body needs to be scrubbed with warm water every day to keep the skin clean and dry, to prevent the occurrence of bedsores, and to ensure that there is enough rest and sleep time. Second, when the pain needs to care, comfort the patient, make the patient’s mood happy, use painkillers, closely observe the effect of pain relief, massage the patient’s lesions appropriately, and reduce muscle tension. Third, encourage patients to cough and breathe deeply, if there is no contraindication, they should drink 2000-3000ml of water daily, and they need to take measures to prevent constipation, such as eating foods with high protein and vitamins and consuming stool softeners. Fourth, guide functional exercise and encourage patients to do isometric contraction exercises of lower limb muscles in bed to prevent the occurrence of lower limb deep vein thrombosis. Fifth, avoid eating spicy, stimulating and cold foods, and quit smoking and alcohol.
