Chinese medicine cures liver cancer metastases in both lungs

Case: In November 2012, the author saw a male patient, 55 years old. The local hospital investigated liver CT suggesting liver cancer and came to our hospital quickly. After admission, laboratory tests: total bilirubin 33.6umol/L, glutamic aminotransferase 58U/L, glutamic aminotransferase 72U/L, hepatitis B virus DNA 2.47E+05IU/ml, alpha-fetoprotein 277.1ug/L, ultrasound and MRI were suggestive of hepatocellular carcinoma, size about 3cm. The diagnosis was: primary hepatocellular carcinoma, cirrhosis, and chronic hepatitis B. Liver puncture microwave ablation (abbreviated as PMCT) was immediately arranged, and postoperative systemic treatment with Chinese herbs (proprietary Chinese medicine and herbal medicine) and entecavir antiviral therapy was given to prevent recurrence. At the end of January 2014, a chest CT at the local hospital revealed multiple metastases in both lungs and liver cirrhosis with ascites. The local doctor predicted a survival period of about 3 months. The patient was then admitted to our department and the chest CT also indicated multiple foci in both lungs. There was no good method in Western medicine, so the only way to fight against cancer was to use Chinese medicine. In March 2014, the patient came to the hospital for review and the chest CT indicated that the lesions in both lungs were reduced. In June 2014, the chest CT was normal, and in November 2014, the total bilirubin was 27.6 umol/L, glutathione aminotransferase was 47 U/L, glutathione aminotransferase was 67 U/L, hepatitis B virus DNA was <500 IU/ml, and methemoglobin was 17ug/L. The MRI did not show any active tumor lesions in the liver, and the chest CT was completely normal. Ultrasound did not reveal ascites. To date, the patient is still alive. Analysis: Hepatocellular carcinoma is a local manifestation of systemic disease. The patient's liver cancer was discovered in November 2012. Although the patient was treated with microwave ablation by western medicine, it does not mean that the cancer cells were completely eliminated, and the invisible cancer cells still metastasized to both lungs through blood circulation and formed multiple cancer masses. Therefore, patients and family members should not take cancer cells lightly, especially the invisible cancer cells are like an untimely bomb, which may metastasize and emerge at any time. If liver cancer has metastasis in both lungs, there is nothing Western doctors can do to deal with multiple metastatic lesions in the lungs. Although oral sorafenib is an option for hepatocellular carcinoma, it is expensive, the efficiency is too low, the side effects are large, and the overall cost performance is poor, which is not affordable for general patients. Traditional Chinese medicine is more suitable for patients, as it enters the blood circulation through oral intake and chases cancer cells throughout the body, and also improves the body soil to make it unsuitable for cancer cell growth, and also improves the body immunity to indirectly control cancer cells. The disappearance of cancer foci in both lungs and the absence of new foci in the liver of this patient both suggest that Chinese medicine is accurate in fighting cancer. However, Chinese medicine needs to be adhered to treatment without interruption. In this case, the patient stopped the medicine privately in the early stage, which led to the metastasis and recurrence of cancer cells, so it is worth learning a lesson. TCM is a systemic regulation, because there are many components in TCM, one herbal formula includes more than a dozen herbal medicines, and each herbal medicine contains hundreds or thousands of compounds, and proprietary Chinese medicine also includes several or dozens of herbal medicines, the combination of herbal medicine and proprietary Chinese medicine can not only treat cancer cells, but also control cirrhosis of the liver and hepatitis B. In this case, the ascites disappeared, the total bilirubin decreased, the glutamic aminotransferase decreased to normal, the glutamic oxalacetic aminotransferase also decreased, and the hepatitis B virus DNA was undetectable after the TCM treatment, which fully illustrates the systemic regulation and simultaneous treatment of multiple diseases by TCM.
