Periocular rejuvenation is the use of one or more cosmetic surgical techniques to improve or delay the aging of the periocular area and to restore a youthful appearance to the human eye area. There are two main types of periocular rejuvenation methods: surgical and non-surgical. Surgical treatments are targeted surgical operations to make certain adjustments to the structures around the eyes to restore a youthful appearance, such as brow lifting, eye bag removal, blepharoplasty, crow’s feet wrinkle removal, etc. Non-surgical treatment is to treat the aging problem around the eyes through some kind of technology or equipment, and the methods include physical therapy, biological therapy and so on. Physical therapies include radiofrequency, fractional lasers, and so on. Injectable treatments mainly include botulinum toxin injections and filler injections, of which injectable filler treatments include absorbable and non-absorbable filler treatments and lipofillers, etc. Absorbable ones are currently used as hyaluronic acid. Absorbable hyaluronic acid and collagen are commonly used. In the early stage of dry skin, it is recommended to hydrate with hydrafacial injections. Tear trough depressions can be treated with hyaluronic acid injections or lipofillers, and small localized fine lines can be treated with botulinum toxin or collagen. Overall, a combination of methods is needed. Also according to their age, gender, occupation, the degree of skin laxity, the state of wrinkles around the eyes and the effect that I expect to achieve, to improve the aging of the eye area is the more ideal measures.
