It is possible to develop cervical cancer with HPV negativity. Although high-risk HPV infection is the main cause of cervical intraepithelial lesions and cervical cancer, not all cervical cancers are caused by HPV infection, but can also be caused by metastasis from cancers in other sites, or due to endocrine disorders, long-term use of birth control pills, herpes virus type 2 infection, etc. If one has cervical cancer, doctors will choose the most appropriate treatment plan according to the pathological type, tumor size and the occurrence of spread and metastasis, combined with the patient’s age and future fertility needs. Currently, the treatment options for cervical cancer include surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy, targeted therapy, and immunotherapy. Early stage or isolated primary foci are suitable for surgical treatment, such as cervical conization and total hysterectomy, etc. For middle and late stage, combined radiotherapy and chemotherapy are mostly used, while targeted and immunotherapy are suitable for late stage recurrent cervical cancer. Patients should establish a good attitude of active treatment, avoid bad habits and, if their body allows, do some exercises appropriately to help the recovery of the organism.
