What are the symptoms of transient cerebral ischemia?

”A mini-stroke, scientifically known as a transient ischemic attack, often occurs a few hours or days before an explosive stroke (major stroke) and is medically referred to as a stroke prognosis. A mini-stroke is caused by localized ischemia of brain tissue. In a very short period of time (e.g., 2-3 minutes), the patient produces hemianesthesia, numbness and sinking in one hand and arm, difficulty walking, and possibly unfavorable speech and slurred speech. However, all such reactions are transient in nature, resolve on their own within 24 hours after the onset, and have no significant sequelae. Many people fail to pay attention to the symptoms of mini-stroke, thinking that it will be fine once the symptoms disappear, but they do not know that mini-stroke is an early warning sign of stroke, and if they miss the time for timely prevention, it is likely to lead to stroke. According to statistics, after a mini-stroke, 50% of patients have at least one cerebral infarction within 5 years, and if improperly diagnosed or treated, 10% of these cerebral infarctions occur within 90 days after a mini-stroke attack. The following symptoms should be alerted: 1. mouth and eye distortion Sudden mouth and eye distortion, salivation at the corners of the mouth, slurred speech, difficulty in spitting out words, aphasia or incoherence, difficulty in swallowing, weakness or inflexibility of one limb, unstable walking or sudden fall. 2.Headache and dizziness Sudden onset of severe headache and dizziness, even nausea and vomiting, or the form and feeling of headache and dizziness is different from the previous days, the degree of increase, or from intermittent to continuous. 3. Numbness of the face, tongue, lips or limbs. Some people may experience haziness in front of the eyes or have difficulty seeing for a while, tinnitus or hearing changes. 4.Disorders of consciousness Disorders of consciousness, performance of mental depression, always want to sleep or drowsy all day. The personality is also uncharacteristic, suddenly becoming silent, indifferent, slow to act or talkative, or some have a brief loss of consciousness. 5.Lethargy and vomiting General fatigue, weakness, sweating, palpitations or sudden hiccups, vomiting, etc. These minor stroke symptoms may not all appear, but as long as one of the aura symptoms appears, it is a stroke alarm for middle-aged and elderly people, so be especially alert. At this time, the patient should be kept quiet, timely bed rest, avoid mental tension, move as little as possible, preferably in situ treatment, after simple treatment before rushing to the hospital, do not panic.
