There are many kinds of chemotherapy regimens, mainly combination chemotherapy regimens and single drug chemotherapy regimens. Among the combination regimens, platinum-based regimens such as cisplatin, carboplatin, loplatin, paclitaxel, and docetaxel can be used as the main chemotherapy regimens for squamous lung cancer. Other chemotherapeutic regimens such as platinum-free ones, such as paclitaxel plus gemcitabine or docetaxel plus vincristine, can be used as chemotherapy regimens for squamous lung cancer. There are also single agent applications of gemcitabine and so on, depending on the patient’s physical condition. Generally, the development of chemotherapy regimen needs to be decided by the treating physician together with the patient and the patient’s family.
