Vascular diseases used to be collectively called “hemangiomas”, but the International Society for the Study of Vascular Diseases (ISSVA) has recently classified them into “hemangiomas” and “vascular malformations” based on their histological and pathological characteristics and biological behavior. “The former is a benign tumor and the latter is a developmental malformation. Hemangioma The course of hemangioma can be divided into: proliferative, quiescent and receding phases, and some cases can subside on their own. According to its location and stage, laser, oral low-dose prednisone, local injection of pinyamycin and surgery can be chosen as treatment respectively. Vascular malformation Vascular malformation is divided into: venous malformation, microvenous malformation, arteriovenous malformation, lymphatic malformation and mixed malformation. Depending on their types, treatment methods vary widely, including surgery, drug injection, laser, electrochemical, embolization treatment, etc. For hemangioma and vascular malformation, there is no specific treatment method. Our department adopts a multi-method and comprehensive sequence of treatment, which has good clinical significance in improving the efficacy, shortening the course of treatment and reducing the side effects.
