The pathological changes of chronic glomerulonephritis are generally distinguished from the following aspects, firstly, the extent of the lesion, whether it is diffuse, focal, glomerular throughout, or a glomerular segmental lesion. The second is the type of lesion, including exudative reaction, cellular proliferative reaction, thylakoid proliferative reaction, sclerotic lesion, membranoproliferative lesion or thylakoid capillary lesion, as well as membranous lesion, necrotic lesion, crescent formation, and epithelial cell changes. Pathological changes need to be clarified in the renal tubular interstitium, including the presence or absence of interstitial edema, atrophy, and interstitial fibrosis.
