Gui Spleen Tang is used to treat symptoms of deficiency of heart, spleen, qi and blood, palpitations and dizziness (violent heartbeat and panic attacks), insomnia and forgetfulness, subcutaneous purpura, and blood in stools.
Gui Spleen Tang is composed of Longan meat, Atractylodes macrocephala, Astragalus membranaceus, sour jujube kernel, Mucuna pruriens, Radix Angelicae Sinensis, Radix et Rhizoma Polygoni Multiflori, Poria. It is effective in tonifying Qi and blood, strengthening the spleen and nourishing the heart.
The symptoms include palpitation and palpitations, yellowish color, night sweating (abnormal sweating after going to sleep and stopping sweating after waking up), insomnia and forgetfulness, lack of appetite, fatigue and tiredness, etc.; spleen not regulating blood, symptoms include subcutaneous purpura, women’s disintegration (excessive menstrual flow or dripping), early menstruation, excessive amount of light-colored menstruation and blood in stool.
