Early stage penile cancer has a high cure rate, while patients with advanced stage are more difficult to be cured; its recurrence rate has not been clear data yet. Penile cancer is a malignant tumor in male penile area, and in our country, men aged 41-60 years old are the peak age group of incidence, and its incidence may be related to prepuce, circumcision, HPV (Human Papilloma Virus) infection and so on. The risk of penile cancer is increased if you are a regular smoker and drinker. Generally speaking, early stage penile cancer patients can be cured through active surgical excision treatment, and its cure rate is relatively high, up to 70%~80%. Patients in advanced stage have higher risk of recurrence due to lymph nodes and distant metastasis, and they can be relieved of their symptoms and improve their quality of life through comprehensive treatment such as surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Penile cancer patients also have the possibility of recurrence after surgery, and the risk of recurrence varies according to different conditions. Therefore, regular review should be conducted after surgery to monitor the recovery situation, and attention should be paid to the management of life to maintain a healthy and regular lifestyle.
