The difference between nephritis syndrome and nephrotic syndrome

The difference between nephritis syndrome and nephrotic syndrome is mainly manifested in the following aspects: First, 24-hour urine protein quantification. The 24-hour urine protein quantification of nephritis syndrome is below 3.5g, while that of nephrotic syndrome is more than 3.5g. Secondly, the types of diseases included are different. Nephritis syndrome includes acute nephritis, acute progressive nephritis and chronic nephritis, while nephrotic syndrome includes five pathological types such as microscopic lesion type and tethered hyperplasia type. Third, the prognosis is not the same. Compared with nephritis syndrome, nephrotic syndrome has a better prognosis and a greater possibility of cure. Fourth, the clinical manifestations are not the same. The main clinical manifestations of nephritis syndrome are hematuria, proteinuria, edema, and hypertension, while the main clinical manifestations of nephrotic syndrome are massive proteinuria, edema, hyperlipidemia, and hypoproteinemia. Fifth, the treatment methods are different. Nephrotic syndrome is mostly treated with hormones, while nephritis syndrome is treated with hormones only in a few cases. Sixth, the type of pathology is not the same.
