It is inappropriate and misleading to overly promote “minimally invasive” in hemorrhoid fistula surgery. Minimally invasive mainly refers to the lumpectomy technique, but perianal surgery and lumpectomy don’t seem to go together. If we talk about minimally invasive, the traditional “injection therapy” is more appropriate to call minimally invasive, but there is no need to call it “minimally invasive” to gain popularity.
