Small stones, but not small problems

Gallstones are a common disease and many people would think: stones are still too small to be a problem. Will you be misled by such a concept? ”The actual fact is that you will be able to get a lot more than just a few of the most popular and popular items in the marketplace. The actual fact is that you can find a lot of people who are not able to get a good deal on this kind of things. The majority of gallbladder stones have a certain range of activity and will move with the change in position. Gallbladder stones can be large or small, single or multiple, and can also get progressively larger. Small stones (0.7-0.8 cm) can easily get stuck in the gallbladder duct and cause acute cholecystitis; larger stones cannot enter the gallbladder duct and are generally less likely to be felt if they “don’t make a mess” inside the gallbladder; while smaller stones can easily fall into the bile duct and cause more troublesome complications: cholangitis and pancreatitis. Both cholangitis and pancreatitis are two diseases that are much more serious than gallbladder stones themselves. The smaller the stone, the greater the chance that it will fall into the common bile duct, especially in the case of mud-like gallbladder stones. Cholangitis: If a stone falls into the common bile duct and causes a blockage, it is like having a sludge blocking the drain of a sink. If the water does not go down, bacteria will grow and cause abdominal pain, jaundice, infection and even shock. Pancreatitis: If a stone falls into the sewer and blocks a neighbor’s water pipe, the situation will be even worse. The pancreatic duct of the pancreas shares an opening with the common bile duct (hepatopancreatic jugular). If a stone blocks this opening, pancreatic juice cannot be drained and pancreatitis is easily induced. Cholecystectomy is an effective treatment for gallbladder stones, and is now a widely performed surgical procedure at home and abroad, replacing the traditional open cholecystectomy. If the gallbladder has been “porcelainized” in the process of long-term inflammation, there is no normal physiological function of secretion and storage, and it is useless to stay, but also prone to problems. In case of emergency surgery, it is more passive and has more chances of complications, so it is better to treat gallbladder stones when they are not yet causing symptoms or complications.
