The heart and kidneys are not in harmony with each other, is it a Yin or Yang deficiency?

Heart-Kidney Dissonance is a pathological manifestation of hyperactivity of Heart-Yang or hyperactivity of Heart-Fire consuming Kidney-Essence due to deficiency of Kidney-Yin, so Heart-Kidney Dissonance has the manifestation of Yin-deficiency. Heart-kidney disharmony refers to the loss of kidney yin and the inability of yin essence to be carried upward, thus the heart fire is over-exuberant and fails to descend. The heart is in the upper jiao, belonging to fire; the kidney is in the lower jiao, belonging to water. The sun in the heart descends to the kidneys, warming the kidney yang; the yin in the kidneys rises to the heart, nourishing the heart yin. Under normal circumstances, Heart Fire and Kidney Water are elevating and coordinating with each other, traffic with each other, and maintain dynamic balance. Heart-kidney disharmony is a pathological condition in which the physiological relationship between Heart Yang and Kidney Yin is out of order. If the kidney yin is insufficient or the heart fire is disturbed, the two lose their coordinating relationship, which is called heart-kidney disharmony. Heart-kidney disharmony can be seen in the manifestations of heartburn and impatience, palpitations (accelerated heartbeat, often accompanied by panic), restlessness, memory loss, insomnia, dizziness, tinnitus, dreaming, lumbago, dry throat and tongue, and five heartburns and heat (heat in the hearts of the two hands and the two feet and self-consciousness of heart and chest heat). Patients whose heart and kidney are not intertwined can take Jiaotai Pill under doctor’s guidance. Patients are advised to take medication under the guidance of a doctor, and should not take medication on their own.
