Approximate recovery time after ureteral stent removal

Ureteral stents can be recovered 1-3 days after removal. Ureteral stents can be used for ureteral stenosis and obstruction caused by various reasons, such as ureteral stones and ureteral obstruction caused by urological tumors, etc. Ureteral stents can be used to relieve ureteral obstruction. Depending on the patient’s condition, ureteral stents are placed for 1-3 months. Urological ultrasonography is required before stent removal to exclude ureteral calculi and obstruction. Some patients may have symptoms such as frequent urination, urinary urgency, painful urination and hematuria after stent removal. After 1-3 days without symptoms such as back pain and fever, the damage to the ureter is considered to have been repaired and the patient can resume normal life and work. If the above symptoms continue to appear, the patient should promptly go to the urology department of the hospital for treatment. In addition, patients are advised to take more rest, drink more water, urinate regularly, eat a light diet and avoid spicy and stimulating food after ureteral stone stent removal.
