What should patients with gynecological tumors pay attention to in their diet?

Common gynecological malignant tumors include cervical cancer, endometrial cancer, ovarian malignant tumor, trophoblastic tumor, vulvar cancer, uterine sarcoma, etc. Patients mentioned above are generally weak, especially those who are old or have undergone major surgery and radiotherapy, and often have poor appetite, which may lead to nutritional disorders, wasting and even cachexia. So, what should gynecological tumor patients pay attention to in terms of diet? Firstly, two misconceptions should be corrected: firstly, blindly taking tonic, thinking that patients should take tonic when they are sick, so they eat a lot of tonic, such as ginseng, ginseng and other tonic, which may cause digestive disorder after eating too much; secondly, blindly avoiding eating, many patients and their families heard a lot of folk sayings, and they dare not eat poultry, eggs, fish and meat, which causes serious nutritional imbalance and is extremely unfavorable to patients’ health and disease recovery. For these patients, the diet should not be too strict and the recipes should not be too narrow. A diet with high protein and high vitamin is appropriate to make up for the excessive consumption of tumor and improve the immune function and anti-cancer ability of the body. As to say that fish, shrimp and seafood are “hairy”, there is a lack of sufficient scientific evidence. Over the years of clinical observation, we have not seen any cases of recurrence or deterioration due to diet. Some patients ate a lot of chicken, fish, shrimp, sea cucumber, and some ate mutton, rabbit, and dog meat, but none of them relapsed or worsened their disease. Of course, the amount of supplements and seafood should not be too large each time, and the main and side dishes should be reasonably matched to be nutritious, comprehensive and easy to digest and absorb. Secondly, it is necessary to reasonably supplement nutrition and avoid unhealthy food. So, what should gynecological malignant tumor patients eat? One is to take in high quality protein. We all know that protein is an important component of human body structure, so we should eat more lean meat, chicken, eggs, beans, etc. These foods can provide high quality protein without causing burden to women’s body. Tofu contains a higher amount of protein, but the absorption and utilization is limited and not the best. Second, eat more vegetables and fruits. Every day should eat an adequate amount of vegetables and fruits, can supplement the body’s daily needs of vitamins, other trace elements and minerals, but also to prevent the occurrence of constipation. Three to eat less pickles, barbecue type unhealthy food. Because pickled foods contain nitrite can be a cancer risk, barbecued foods also have the risk of cancer, the cooking of food should also be boiled, steamed, fried and so on.
