There are more surgical options for liver cancer, including minimally invasive surgery and traditional open surgery. Minimally invasive surgery includes laparoscopic hepatectomy, radiofrequency ablation, microwave curing and robotic surgery, while traditional open surgery includes tumor resection, liver lobectomy, liver transplantation, etc. Nowadays, more minimally invasive techniques are adopted in clinical practice. According to the tumor site and size, if the liver cancer is within 5cm, radiofrequency and microwave curing can be adopted, and the effect of <3cm is equivalent to surgical treatment. Hepatectomy includes minimally invasive laparoscopic hepatectomy, robotic hepatectomy, open hepatectomy, and now the gold standard is precise anatomical resection of liver cancer. It is reported that because liver cancer tumors are mainly confined to liver segments and metastasis and spread between segments rarely occur, so precise anatomical resection of liver cancer and hepatic segment resection is the gold standard for treating liver cancer, which can remove the whole liver segment and the patient's survival after surgery is significantly prolonged.
