2011 National Continuing Education Program (Project No. 2010-03-056)
“Notification of enrollment for “Seminar on identification and management of psychological disorders in general hospitals
(First round notice)
Dear colleagues: Hello!
Psychological disorders have become one of the major diseases affecting human health in the 21st century, but unlike other diseases, only 20%-30% of patients with psychological disorders go to psychological specialists, while up to 70%-80% of patients with psychological disorders go to general hospitals because of prominent somatization symptoms. The identification and treatment of psychological disorders has become a reality and a responsibility that doctors of various specialties in general hospitals cannot avoid. Mao Jialiang, Department of Cardiology, Shanghai Renji Hospital
For a long time, psychological medicine and biomedicine belong to two different categories. Under the influence of biomedical model, most doctors in general hospitals only focus on patients’ physical diseases, but neglect to recognize patients’ psychological problems. How to deal with and correctly diagnose and treat these patients is a great challenge to our general hospital volunteer workers, although, nowadays, there is a great progress in the diagnosis and treatment of psychological disorders, but in general hospitals, there are still many shortcomings and misunderstandings in the understanding of psychological disorders both patients and doctors, therefore, in the face of patients with psychological disorders, often feel like falling into a fog, misdiagnosis, mis-treatment, or lead to It is not uncommon to see misdiagnosis, mistreatment, or even aggravation of the disease. It is important to point out that the performance of psychological disorders in general hospitals has its own characteristics different from those of psychological specialties, so its diagnosis and treatment methods are not exactly the same as those of psychological specialties, which is what we need to study and learn again.
In view of this, with the approval of the Ministry of Health, we have arranged to organize this course to train doctors of all levels who are not psychologists in general hospitals. The trainers are professionals who have been engaged in the diagnosis and treatment of psychological disorders and research in various departments of general hospitals for a long time and have not only solid basic theoretical knowledge, but also rich practical experience in clinical diagnosis and treatment. This is the first time in China to hold a study course on the diagnosis and treatment of psychological disorders in general hospitals mainly by doctors in general hospitals, which is rich in content, novel in viewpoint, and highly relevant and operative. We hope that through this course training, we can open a door for the majority of medical workers who are interested in the cause of psychological disorders in general hospitals, open up new ideas of clinical disease diagnosis and treatment, and work together to prepare for the arrival of the era of psychiatric disorders in the 21st century.
Objectives to be achieved by the course: to understand the current situation, characteristics and manifestations of psychological disorders in general hospitals; to master the basic methods of identifying psychological disorders in general hospitals; to master the skills of rapid communication and persuasion with patients with psychological disorders in general hospitals, the treatment of psychological disorders and somatic disease co-morbidity; to master the characteristics and precautions in the application of psychological disorder drugs in general hospitals; how to carry out general psychotherapy for different patients The course will cover the following topics: how to identify serious psychological disorders and how to refer them in time, etc. 30 hours, 10 credits of national continuing education category I will be awarded.
