Cervical cancer is one of the most prevalent areas in Shanxi, but it is really a preventable and treatable disease, so cervical cancer screening plays an important role in the prevention and treatment of cervical cancer. So what exactly is cervical cancer screening? First of all, we should know that there are many pathological types of cervical cancer, among which cervical squamous carcinoma accounts for 90%, that is to say mostly this type, the evolution of this type of cervical cancer is cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) I, II, III, cervical cancer, this process takes about 2-10 years, so cervical cancer screening is mainly to detect cervical epithelial neoplasia, that is, pre-cancerous Therefore, the main purpose of cervical cancer screening is to detect cervical epithelioid lesions, i.e. pre-cancerous lesions, and to carry out further intervention to prevent and treat cervical cancer. The method is what we usually call TCT, which simply means taking the exfoliated cells from the cervix and arranging them one by one through certain treatment to find out whether there are abnormal cells to determine whether there are pre-cancerous lesions or not. Also, don’t be nervous when the biopsy indicates the presence of precancerous lesions, because it is not cancerous, but we need to follow it closely or treat it to prevent it from becoming cancerous. Finally, it should be noted that for other types of cervical cancer, there is no precancerous process, therefore, symptoms of vaginal discharge or contact bleeding should be seen promptly for examination.
