Mediastinal lung cancer is a specific type of lung cancer that is simply a type that appears on chest X-ray images and is characterized by the fact that such lesions appear as mediastinal tumors on chest X-ray images, with the true lesion originating in the lung. There are 3 types of mediastinal lung cancer. Recognition of mediastinal lung cancer: 1. Peripheral lung cancer occurring in the mediastinal parietal area with the inner margin immediately adjacent to the mediastinum and adhering to the mediastinal pleura, the outer margin of the tumor can be smooth, this type of lung cancer is extremely difficult to distinguish from mediastinal tumors and requires focal coronal or CT examination to help; 2. The peripheral margin of the upper lung lobe is smooth and tightly adheres to the mediastinum, and the image is extremely similar to a mediastinal tumor. The differentiation requires oblique bronchial body image or CT (computed tomography) image, and attention should be paid to the reduced vascular texture in the shadow in the case of atelectasis, and other lung lobes presenting compensatory emphysema. This is clinically manifested as the primary tumor in the lung is unclear and the mediastinal metastatic lymph nodes are large and resemble mediastinal tumors. This type of mediastinal lung cancer is not difficult to distinguish because the metastatic lymph nodes are enlarged with nodular margins and are mostly located in the middle mediastinum. The most common of the three types of mediastinal lung cancer is the first one, which was found to be mediastinal lung cancer rather than mediastinal tumor only when the chest was opened and investigated, and sometimes it is extremely difficult to operate on this type of lung cancer, so adequate preparation should be made before surgery. Mediastinal lung cancer treatment methods: 1.The treatment of early stage mediastinal lung cancer is mainly surgical resection, and the surgical method should be chosen according to the location and size of the cancer, such as lobectomy, enlargement resection, etc. After surgery, postoperative treatment with traditional Chinese medicine is advocated to prevent recurrence, speed up the recovery of human functions and improve the resistance to disease; 2.Middle and late stage mediastinal lung cancer mostly has extensive metastasis, and the patient can hardly tolerate surgery. The patient can hardly tolerate surgery. Clinically, the treatment methods for middle and late stage mediastinal lung cancer mainly include radiotherapy and Chinese medicine treatment, and the principle of combining Chinese and Western medicine is the principle. Since mediastinal lung cancer is mostly small cell carcinoma, which is more sensitive to chemotherapy, the first-line chemotherapy regimen for the treatment of mediastinal lung cancer includes limited stage EP regimen, CE regimen, etc.; 3. Chemotherapy combined with radiotherapy is better than chemotherapy alone or radiotherapy alone in the treatment of mediastinal lung cancer. In view of the toxic side effects of radiotherapy on human body, Chinese medicine can be combined with radiotherapy in the treatment of mediastinal lung cancer to increase the effectiveness and reduce the toxicity.
