Can CT check for gastrointestinal disorders

CT is the term used to refer to CT examination. CT examination can usually detect some gastrointestinal diseases, such as gastrointestinal space-occupying lesions, gastrointestinal stenosis, gastrointestinal obstruction, etc. However, it usually needs to be further coordinated with gastroenteroscopy, pathological biopsy and gastrointestinal ultrasonography to make the final diagnosis. 1. Gastrointestinal space-occupying lesions: CT examination can usually show whether there are polyps, cysts or tumors in the gastrointestinal tract of the human body, which can play a certain auxiliary role in the discovery and evaluation of gastric polyps, gastrointestinal mesenchymal tumors, malignant lymphoma of gastrointestinal tract. 2. Gastrointestinal stenosis: CT examination can usually show whether there is any stenosis in the gastrointestinal tract of the human body, and at the same time, according to the condition of the gastrointestinal wall, it can play a role in identifying benign or malignant lesions caused by the narrowing of the gastrointestinal tract. 3. Gastrointestinal obstruction: Through CT examination, it can usually show whether the gastrointestinal tract is obstructed or not, and it can also intuitively show whether the gastrointestinal tract is obstructed due to tumors, cysts or stones and other lesions. However, it should be noted that CT examination has certain limitations, for the gastrointestinal foci are too subtle or gastrointestinal lesions in the early stage of the disease is usually difficult to show, so it is recommended to follow the doctor’s advice with gastrointestinal microscopy, pathological biopsy, gastrointestinal ultrasonography and other means to be diagnosed.
