Beijing, Oct. 29 (Xinhua) — A life-saving green channel for cerebrovascular diseases serving northeast Beijing was officially launched at the Aviation General Hospital on the occasion of the ninth World Stroke Day on Oct. 29. Dr. Chen Guoqiang, director of neurosurgery of Aviation General Hospital, said that the effective emergency time for stroke (especially cerebral infarction) is called “emergency golden time” in medical science, and in order to seize this “golden time”, the hospital has built a green channel for the emergency department, neurology, imaging department, laboratory department, and other departments. In order to seize this “golden time”, the hospital has built a green channel consisting of the emergency department, neurology, neurosurgery, imaging department, testing department and other departments. Green channel personnel and equipment are on standby 24 hours a day, and all medical personnel are trained in emergency cerebrovascular disease to ensure that effective treatment measures are taken in the shortest possible time. The director of the neurology department of the hospital introduced that after the admission of patients with cerebrovascular disease, members of the stroke green channel team can ensure that they can receive treatment within 10 minutes, establish intravenous access, complete blood tests and electrocardiogram examination within 15 minutes, complete head CT within 25 minutes, and determine the diagnosis and treatment measures within 45 minutes with the interpretation of head images and laboratory results. For those who are eligible for intravenous thrombolysis, the thrombolytic drugs can enter the patient’s body within 60 minutes; for those who are not, the cerebrovascular intervention team is on standby to give the patient arterial thrombolysis and mechanical clot retrieval, and then enter the stroke unit. For patients who miss the “golden time window” of 4.5 hours after the onset of stroke, the relevant departments will also work together to rescue them. ”At present, the average time between the arrival of acute ischemic stroke patients and the administration of intravenous thrombolysis at Aviation General Hospital is 37 minutes.” Xing Yan said. At the launch ceremony on the same day, the aviation general hospital also conducted a special lecture on stroke science and knowledge and a large charity clinic. The reporter learned that it is reported that the Aviation General Hospital established the Multidisciplinary Standardized Stroke Thrombolysis Treatment Project (MOST Project) Launch Center in December 2013, formed a cerebrovascular disease treatment team including neurology, neurosurgery and interventional medicine, and formulated a standardized greenway process for emergency cerebrovascular disease. Through inter-departmental cooperation and complementary advantages, patients with cerebrovascular disease have received more timely, standardized and effective treatment in the hospital over the past year, and the thrombolysis rate has increased by more than two times compared with the same period last year, and the mortality and disability rates have decreased significantly.
