The earliest site of cardiogenic edema

The earliest site of cardiogenic edema is the lower extremities, especially the ankles, which may appear as depressed edema. Patients with cardiogenic edema are mostly affected by coronary artery disease, cardiomyopathy, and valvular disease, etc. Patients mainly present with chest tightness and severe dyspnea. Edema can also occur in right heart insufficiency, manifesting as body circulation stasis and jugular vein anger. Patients may also develop hepatomegaly, decreased appetite, nausea, vomiting, and in severe cases, may induce gastrointestinal bleeding.
