  Three-step diagnostic procedure 1. Histopathological examination: to determine the gold standard for diagnosis and treatment.  2. Colposcopy: to further diagnose those with abnormal initial screening, to determine the extent and degree of lesions, and to guide biopsy.  3. Cytology: as primary screening for general population screening (HPV should be tested simultaneously in high-risk groups or primary screeners)
