What is acne all about?

Acne: commonly known as acne, is a skin disease commonly found on the face of adolescents: but we often see many acne patients who are no longer young, especially the number of middle-aged women with acne. Most acne in the adolescent age group is related to increased secretion of sebaceous glands and is endogenous acne, while the causes of acne in middle-aged women are more complex. Acne in middle-aged women is related to the frequent use of various types of cosmetics, skin care products and facial cleansers, and also partly related to long-term nutritional beauty care, so it can also be called; cosmetic acne. In addition, strong ultraviolet radiation can also cause hyperkeratosis at the opening of the sebaceous glands of the hair follicles, which is especially likely to occur after the external rubbing of cosmetics, and the course of the disease is longer, usually taking six months to recover. There may be other causes of acne in middle-aged women, including exposure to diesel, asphalt, and various petroleum products at work; or endocrine dysfunction, including menstrual disorders, ovarian cysts, and uterine fibroids; and systemic or topical use of corticosteroid preparations can also cause acne. Therefore, middle-aged women with acne should seek medical consultation in a timely manner to clarify the cause of the disease and then treat the cause symptomatically.
