The characteristics of cervical cancer are different in early and late stages. Early stage usually manifests as contact bleeding, the bleeding volume is usually small and can last for 2-3 days. Late stage often shows irregular bleeding, and its bleeding time is not fixed. The female reproductive system has its own protective mechanism. The vaginal mucosa is squamous epithelium and normal injuries will not have any effect on it. However, in cases such as severe inflammation of the cervix or tumors, a bloody discharge from the vaginal wall may occur. If there is bleeding after intercourse or usual irregular bleeding, you must go to hospital gynecology department for vaginal biopsy in time to make a clear diagnosis. Patients with cervical cancer can be treated surgically in early stage, usually the whole uterus is removed and the bleeding can be improved. In case of middle and late stage cervical cancer, if the lesion is >4cm and cannot be completely removed by surgery, radiation therapy can be done to control the disease. In addition, patients need to scrub their vulva and urethra daily after cervical cancer surgery to keep them clean and dry to prevent infection.
