Kidney yin deficiency and kidney yang deficiency can both lead to impotence. The most common causes of impotence are liver qi stagnation (poor qi and blood transportation in the liver, emotional depression), heart and kidney panic, dampness-heat injury to the body, kidney yang deficiency, kidney yin deficiency, heart and spleen deficiency (weakness of the heart and spleen), spleen and stomach weakness, and so on. Both kidney yin deficiency and kidney yang deficiency can lead to the condition of impotence. Impotence caused by kidney yin deficiency will be accompanied by symptoms such as lumbar and knee weakness (a feeling of soreness and weakness in the lumbar and knee areas), warmth in the hands and feet, dizziness and tinnitus, and night sweating (abnormal sweating after going to sleep, and sweating stops after waking up). The treatment is mostly chosen to nourish yin and tonify the kidneys with proprietary Chinese medicines, such as Zuo Gui Wan. Impotence caused by kidney yang deficiency is often accompanied by symptoms such as lumbago, cold hands and feet, frequent urination and spontaneous sweating (involuntary sweating during the daytime, aggravated by sweating when you move a little), and prolonged urination. For treatment, Chinese medicines that warm and replenish kidney yang (warming and replenishing kidney yang), such as Right Angelica Pill, are often chosen. If symptoms such as impotence occur, it is recommended to go to the hospital immediately for treatment as prescribed by the doctor.
