Liver cancer of 6cm can be classified as intermediate stage. Early stage liver cancer generally refers to liver cancer within 3cm in diameter. Some domestic experts believe that liver cancer within 5cm in diameter can also be called early stage liver cancer. If it is 6cm, it means the diameter has exceeded 5cm and cannot be considered as early stage liver cancer. The specific analysis is based on whether there is metastasis inside the liver. If there is no distant metastasis and lymph node metastasis, and the tumor is only confined to the internal part of the liver, it can be classified as intermediate stage. If there is distant metastasis, such as lung metastasis or lymph node metastasis, it can be classified as advanced stage. For the treatment of intermediate stage liver cancer, in principle, radical tumor surgery can be performed, during which the tumor is completely removed and the cut edge is negative. After surgery, regular follow-up and review are required, and interventional embolization and chemotherapy can be used when necessary, and the overall survival rate is very good. In case of metastasis, the survival rate of advanced hepatocellular carcinoma is significantly reduced. After targeted and immunotherapy, the median survival can be extended to 1-2 years.
