Therefore, our hospital attaches great importance to pathology consultation. For patients who have undergone colposcopy, biopsy, LEEP and other procedures in other hospitals and need to come to our hospital for further treatment, pathology consultation is required. Steps of pathology consultation: 1. Lend the pathology slides to the pathology department of the original medical unit and bring the slides and the pathology report form. 2.Go to the Department of Pathology on the fourth floor of the outpatient clinic of Peking Union Medical College East Hospital and submit the two kinds of materials, working from Monday to Friday, with a daily quota, and try to arrive early. 3.After the doctor receives the pathology slides, the results are usually issued in 5 working days. Patients who come to me for consultation, please bring the pathology section consultation report form and then come to me for additional consultation, so that the reasonable arrangement can save time and the number of consultation. The quality of pathology consultation slides directly affects the timeliness and accuracy of the pathologist’s pathology diagnosis. The study of colposcopic images is also related to the colposcopist’s knowledge of the images, resulting in some variation in the accuracy of colposcopic diagnosis as well as biopsy from hospital to hospital. Therefore, many patients who have already undergone colposcopic biopsies at outside institutions and come to our hospital for examination may, on the one hand, require section consultation and, on the other hand, may need to be re-colposcopically evaluated by our department and, if necessary, biopsied again.
