Local diseases such as pharyngitis, rhinitis, tonsillitis and systemic diseases such as anaemia and endocrine disorders, excessive use of the voice, eating too much spicy food, long-term smoking and alcohol, exposure to harmful gases, dust, allergens and other adverse stimuli such as frequent late nights and excessive exertion cause inflammatory reactions in the ministry, congestion and swelling of the throat, and the appearance of lymphatic tissue hyperplasia, i.e. pharyngeal follicular hyperplasia.
