How to diagnose common lumps in the neck

  Clinical is often seen in the neck lumps, what diseases are common lumps in each area?  1, submandibular chin area: single masses are common in submandibular adenitis, subchin dermatomal cysts, etc.; multiple masses are common in acute and chronic lymphadenitis.  2, anterior mid-neck area: single masses are commonly found in thyroglossal cysts and various thyroid diseases.  3.Lateral cervical region: single masses are commonly found in thyropharyngeal duct cysts, cystic hydatid cysts, carotid body tumors and hemangiomas; multiple masses are commonly found in acute and chronic lymphadenitis, lymph node tuberculosis, metastatic tumors and malignant lymphomas.  4.Supraclavicular region: multiple masses are commonly associated with lymph node tuberculosis and metastatic tumors.  5.Posterior cervical region: single masses are commonly seen in various fibromas and lipomas. Multiple masses are usually seen in acute and chronic lymphadenitis.  6.Parotid area: solitary masses are commonly seen in parotitis and mixed tumors or cancer of parotid gland.
