Dandelion root is not fried. Dandelion as a Chinese medicine is concocted by directly washing, drying and cutting into pieces. It has the effects of clearing heat and removing toxins (removing heat and toxicity from the body), subduing swellings and dissipating lumps, inducing diuresis, clearing the liver and brightening the eyes (clearing liver fire to promote the restoration of eyesight). It can be used to treat carbuncles, sores, breast carbuncles, intestinal carbuncles (carbuncles occurring in the intestines and bowels, manifested by fever, pain in the right side of the abdomen, and palpable lumps), lung carbuncles, gonorrhea (increased frequency of urination, dripping and astringent pain), jaundice and other conditions. Dandelion is bitter, sweet and cold in nature, and is attributed to the liver and stomach meridians. Precautions: Use with caution in non-damp-heat conditions and yin gangrene (a general term for a class of slow-acting, negative sores and ulcers); not suitable for patients with spleen and stomach deficiency (spleen and stomach weakness and cold), as it may aggravate abdominal pain, diarrhea and other symptoms. If there is any discomfort, use under the guidance of a physician, do not self-administer.
