Eccrine hemangioma can be asymptomatic if the tumor is small, while larger tumors may produce symptoms such as foreign body sensation in the pharynx, bleeding in the throat, difficulty in swallowing and breathing, and so on. 1. Asymptomatic: at the early stage of epiglottis hemangioma, due to the small size of tumor and small stimulation to pharyngeal mucosa and nerves, patients will not have obvious clinical symptoms; 2. Pharyngeal discomfort: with the gradual increase of hemangioma volume, patients may have foreign body sensation in the pharynx. When the patient coughs violently or eats hard food, it can lead to rupture of the tumor and trigger bleeding symptoms in the throat. When the tumor grows significantly, it can also cause dysphagia or dyspnea. Clinical symptoms alone cannot confirm the diagnosis of epiglottis hemangioma, if necessary, we need to actively go to the hospital for laryngoscopy and other related examinations to clarify the diagnosis.
