The traumatic eye injury was complicated by the loss of the eye with a narrow conjunctival sac and an old orbital fracture defect, which caused significant sunken eye sockets, along with ptosis and many other problems. The eye socket filling, orbital bone repair, conjunctival capsuloplasty, and eyelid defect repair were performed separately over a period of almost two years, and the patient was satisfied with the final fitting of a prosthetic eye, which significantly improved the appearance and restored partial eyelid closure with exercise. The photo shows before the surgery and about ten days after the last surgery, shortly after the stitches were removed, the scars are still visible, and will soften and fade significantly with time to about six months.
